Frédéric B. Girard a fait ses débuts en tant que membre fondateur du groupe alternatif Monogrenade (La saveur des fruits EP – 2009, Tantale – 2011, Finaliste Francouvertes 14ième). À l'hiver 2012, il crée la formation rock KPLR (Matière grise EP – 2012, Déséquilibre – 2014, Mises en scène – 2020).
